NEW JERSEY NEEDS TO STEP UP AGAINST PEDOPHILIA

Many people want the exact opposite for pedophiles. (UPI/Eduardo Sverdlin)

By STEVE MALZBERG
     Garden State Journal Columnist

Young boys being forced into sex with adult men. It's just one on the list of a parent's worst nightmares, but it's right at the top. We listen and watch in horror and disgust as accusations are made against coaches at Penn State, Syracuse, and most recently the Amateur Athletic Union. A former Boston Red Sox club house attendant says a former club house manager molested him. Former child actors are now coming forward to say that they were passed around as sex objects at a very young age and that this behavior is commonplace in Hollywood circles. It's called pedophilia.

All of these accusers tell of attacks that occurred many years ago. In most cases, decades ago. The state of New Jersey, for some reason, chooses to give a victim just two years from the time he turns 18 years old to report an incident of pedophilia. This does nothing but give the pedophile an advantage. Why would New Jersey have such a statute of limitations?

First, allow me to provide the Merriam-Webster definition of pedophilia: "sexual perversion in which children are the preferred sexual object."  One would think that New Jersey or any state would want to make it as difficult as possible for a sexual predator to succeed in his crime, especially one who targets children. But one would also think that all normal, decent, educated human beings could agree that pedophilia is sick, vulgar and perverted, and that the pedophile should be locked up with the key thrown away for a long, long time. Sadly, this is not the case. In fact, there are educated people who are coming to the defense of pedophilia. If you haven't heard this, sit down!

On August 17th in Baltimore, a group calling themselves "B4U-ACT" held what they called a "scientific symposium on pedophilia and the DSM." The DSM is the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the American Psychiatric Association. Some 40 speakers from the world of academia   participated in this pro-pedophilia love fest. The goal of it all is to get pedophilia taken off of the APA's list of mental disorders. They want tolerance and acceptance for sick freaks that they refer to as, "minor attracted people." And they are not alone.

Keynote speaker Dr. Fred Berlin of Johns Hopkins University argued in favor of acceptance and compassion for people who are attracted to minors. Dr. John Sadler from the University of Texas argued that diagnostic criteria for mental disorders should not be based on concepts of vice, since such concepts are subject to shifting social attitudes. Representatives  from the University of Louisville, University of Illinois, and Harvard University also spoke.

According to Matt Barber, vice president of Liberty Counsel Action, who was in attendance, conference speakers said that the DSM should focus on the needs of the pedophile rather than focus on the need to protect children.

Then there is the North American Man Boy Love Association, or NAMBLA. NAMBLA is determined to do away with the age of consent, period. They believe that boys can decide to have sex with men. Wikipedia describes them as "a pedophile and pederasty advocacy organization that works to abolish age of consent laws criminalizing adult sexual relations with minors, and for the release of all men who have been jailed for sexual contacts with minors that did not involve coercion.” In other words, if the child wanted to have sex with the adult, it's ok!

So how main stream is this perversion?  Our president, Barack Obama, appointed Kevin Jennings to the position of  "safe school czar" back in 2009. Jennings, when he was a teacher, was reportedly told by a 16-year-old student that he was having a sexual relationship with an older man that he met in a Boston bathroom.  Jennings never reported it and allegedly told the boy to wear a condom. This is the same Kevin Jennings who has reportedly spoken and written praise for Harry Hay. Hay was a longtime advocate for NAMBLA. World Net Daily quotes Jennings as saying, "One of the people that's always inspired me is Harry Hay." Are you frightened yet? Are you sickened yet?

I wish that all of the above was my attempt at being thought provoking, by coming up with some imaginary set of outlandish circumstances that would enrage the reader and promote my agenda. I wish that I could now say, "Well this really isn't happening,  but if we don't  change the law in New Jersey and give victims of pedophilia more time to report the abuse they have suffered, we will be headed towards acceptance of this perversion."  But this is happening. It's happening independently of New Jersey's statute of limitations. It is a national and worldwide campaign which is now unafraid to expose itself to sunlight. The media – CNN, MSNBC, NBC, CBS, ABC, The New York Times and The Washington Post – seemingly remain silent as this movement grows. One way this state can send a message to groups like B4U-ACT and NAMBLA is to change the law, do away with the time constraints and pass a declaration, signed by the Governor. It should read, "We the people of the state of New Jersey will never accept any revision to the definition of the  perversion of pedophilia. We will never facilitate the acceptance of sexual relations between underage children and adults. New Jersey considers such behavior to be perverted, abhorrent and illegal."

. Sharing your story helps us all to understand how semnooe can be married to a pedophile and how could anyone judge you, when they hear your story? Congratulations on saying and writing "pedophile" - you did use it in our interview because otherwise I'm not sure I would have used it. You are a remarkable, amazing woman and I know you will somehow use this experience to help others. I hope too that sharing your story helps you on your path of healing. I hope someday we'll get to meet in person.

A few years ago Vogue published semi nude pictures of the little Pop Princess Miley Cyrus. Today as a legal adult with a child’s mind she exhibits all kinds of unsavory social behavior ▬ smoking, drinking, drug use, sexabition. Her father pushed her into this at a very early age with the Disney series Hanna Montana. She set the standard for tweens and teens on how to look and act. Pop culture is double minded on pedophilia. Parents allow sexploitation of their little girls. The sexploitation in our society of young girls is quite frightening. How can we protect the young children from all the garbage out there? It feels quite hopeless. Religious groups need to stand up strong and become the LIGHT in this darkness, if there is to be some hope for their precious little daughters in the future. nexium propecia
