GUESS WHO'S COMING TO DINNER?

Vice President Joe Biden with a friend. (UPI/Roger L. Wollenberg)

This past Tuesday evening, Vice President Joe Biden was scheduled to appear at a campaign fundraiser at the home of New Jersey public relations and lobbying firm executive Michael Kempner in Cresskill. Kempner is also said to be one of Barack Obama's biggest campaign "bundlers." They raise the big bucks. Couples were slated to pay $10,000 for the privilege of chewing the fat on some short ribs along with Biden.  I do not know Mr. Kempner. I was not invited to Tuesday's event, nor was I asked to last year's money raiser at his home. That one reportedly cost  $30,400 to attend solo. I will give Mr. Kempner the benefit of the doubt and assume that he would never knowingly invite a man who, and I'm being charitable here, has made several racially insensitive remarks, into his home.  So by extension, Mr. Kempner surly must be ignorant of just who Mr. Biden is. Allow me to educate Mr. Kempner.

It started back in July of 2006 when then Delaware senator and potential 2008 presidential candidate,  Joe Biden, took his shot at folks from India. In a clip that went viral, Biden was shown shaking hands with a man and talking about Indian-Americans. "I've had a great relationship. In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-American moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin' Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent." And in case anyone might of thought he was joking, Biden added, "I'm not joking."

See anything racist there, Mr. Kempner?  Biden's staff translated it to mean that the, "Vibrant Indian-American community in Delaware has primarily been made up of engineers, scientists and doctors, but more recently, middle class families are purchasing family run businesses." Talk about creative license.

On the eve of announcing his 2008 White House run, Biden gave an interview to the New York Observer. During this January, 2007 interview, he critiqued each of his presidential rivals including, of course, one Senator Barack Obama. "I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice looking guy. I mean that's a storybook, man."

Racism? This time Biden issued a statement of "regret" for any offense that his mouth might have caused. He also called Obama personally. No word if he made calls to the African Americans who had previously run for president, including Jesse Jackson, Shirley Chisholm, Carol Moseley Braun, Al Sharpton and Alan Keyes. And no word why he found them to be, shall we say, not so articulate, bright and clean.

You'd think he would have learned his lesson, but fast forward to October of 2007. During a sit down with the Washington Post Joe Biden was talking again. This time the issue was education. This time he blamed Washington D.C.'s high minority population for the city's education problems. He was asked why the schools in Iowa do so much better than schools in D.C.  He said, "There's less than one percent of the population of Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than four or five percent that are minorities. What is it in Washington? So look, it goes back to what you start off with, what you're dealing with."

What about it Mr. Kempner? A racist analysis? Not according to the Post who called it a "stumble." And not according to Biden's trusted staff of course. They claimed that he was not talking about race, but rather  "socio-economics." Oh, right, right.

For the record, any one of these "observations" would have ended the campaign and political career of any Republican. There is a horrific and dangerous double standard that exists in our media that allows  Joe Biden, a Democrat, to escape unscathed after three strikes on race.

The fact that Joe Biden is a heartbeat away from the presidency should give us all pause, Mr. Kempner included. There is a definite pattern here. I would not have the man as a guest in my home. And in addition to all of the above, there is a list too long to include here, of Biden "gaffes" that have become commonplace. It is worth noting however, that before his scheduled stop in New Jersey, Biden was speaking in Ohio. Addressing union members who helped vote down that state’s restrictions on collective bargaining, Biden said, "You folks fired the first shot, you fired the first shot." This, as Congresswoman Giffords speaks for the first time since she was shot in the head, and our president told us to tone down the rhetoric. What is wrong with Joe Biden?

?" to "STOCKS REBOUND" to "WAS IT SOMETHING HE SAID?" to being completely off the page. This relolr coaster ride took less than six hours.Matt Drudge might want to invest in a bigger hat. The one he's wearing seems to be squeezing off the bloodflow.

Speaking of Barack Obama:Barack Obama is a racial-minority individual, and in his heart and mind he inevitably does not endorse hate crimes committed by George W. Bush.George W. Bush committed hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism (indicated in my blog).George W. Bush did in fact commit innumerable hate crimes. And I do solemnly swear by Almighty God that George W. Bush committed other hate crimes of epic proportions and with the stench of terrorism which I am not at liberty to mention. Many people know what Bush did.And many people will know what Bush did—even to the end of the world.Bush was absolute evil.Bush is now like a fugitive from justice.Bush is a psychological prisoner.Bush has a lot to worry about.Bush can technically be prosecuted for hate crimes at any time.In any case, Bush will go down in history in infamy.Submitted by Andrew Yu-Jen WangB.S., Summa Cum Laude, 1996Messiah College, Grantham, PALower Merion High School, Ardmore, PA, 1993“GEORGE W. BUSH IS THE WORST PRESIDENT IN U.S. HISTORY” BLOG OF ANDREW YU-JEN WANG______________________I am not sure where I had read it before, but anyway, it is a linguistically excellent statement, and it goes kind of like this: “If only it were possible to ban invention that bottled up memories so they never got stale and faded.” Oh wait—off the top of my head—I think the quotation came from my Lower Merion High School yearbook. nexium coupons propecia
